The village of Enderby is situated in south-west Leicestershire. The Enderby Heritage Group was formed in December 2000, to record all aspects of the Heritage of the village, past and future through regular monthly meetings and projects.

The present project being researched is on the 'Fallen' of the village in The Great War.

Enderby does not have a war memorial apart from two memorial plaques in the Parish Church, but due to the times in which we live this is closed for a majority of the time.

The Enderby Heritage Group hopes to build profiles on each of the men who did not return from The Great War. The information researched will be available on the Groups web site and in the form of a folder to be deposited in the local library and at the Leicestershire Records Office.

The Group is now looking for any photographs of soldiers from Enderby, from the Great War Period and any other relevant information regarding them.

A list of the 'Fallen' of Enderby may be viewed under the Family History Section, at:- http://www.enderbyheritage.org.uk
