JT 11 This photograph
is of one officer, NCO's and men of the 14th (Service) Battalion The
Durham Light Infantry Regiment. The date of the photo is uncertain but it may
have been taken in late 1914 or early 1915 as none of the men appear to have
been awarded "wound stripes" or "good conduct chevrons"
(cloth badges worn on the lower tunic sleeve). John Chew Robinson can be seen
on the second row from the front, and sixth from the right.

JT 12 A photograph that
was taken on the same day as the (JT11) photo above, of the 14th
(Service) Battalion The Durham Light Infantry Regiment. But in this instance
the soldiers are officers and NCO's. John Robertson can be seen in the third
form the front row, and 4th from the right.
