JT 8 This photograph shows a squad of British soldiers who were perhaps an honour guard. The photograph may well have been taken in Germany at the end of the Great War and the soldiers seen here may be of the Northumberland Fusiliers.

John Robinson was transferred from the Durham Light Infantry Regiment to the Northumberland Fusiliers in February 1918 and was promoted from Company Sergeant Major to Regimental Sergeant Major.

JT 10 Regimental Sergeant Major John Robinson had two brothers who were WW1 servicemen. Seen here is his brother Joseph Robinson of The Durham Light Infantry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

JT 9 This is a portrait of R.S.M. John Chew Robinson's brother, Leading Stoker Arthur James Robinson of the Royal Navy. He died at the age of 21 years on Thursday 7th of November 1918. His ship was H.M.S. Cockatrice. James is buried at Hartlepool North Cemetery, Durham, England.
