HATHERN WAR MEMORIAL.
Leicestershire.
BY Richard Blood &
Tarina La Rue-Blood
The Names of those men from Hathern, who have fallen carrying out there duty for King, Queen, and Country, in War or Conflict, have been placed upon a proud Memorial Set within a small circular garden of remembrance, in the Village Cemetery.
The Memorial takes the form of a gently tapered, square Grey Granite pillar, with ornate bordering. Toped with a cross, mounted on an ornate square crown support.
All standing proudly on a large square white marble plinth.
The inscriptions are set into three sides of the memorial, cut in sunken Gold lettering. All standing some Eight feet tall. And surrounded by small shrubs, with bench seats nearby were one can sit and ponder.

The inscriptions read: -
