It is possible that the soldiers were of the Royal Army Service Corps, but this is not certain. It is also possible that one of Graeme's PARKER Great Uncles may be present in this group.

Please contact Sheila Robinson at :- barnie@golden.net Sheila's Grandfather can be seen in the photo seated third from the right (holding a mallet). JOHN ALEXANDER HOUGH a.k.a. PRIVATE 099312 JOHN HENRY HOUGH, OF THE ARMY SERVICE CORPS, (a.k.a. Henry James Woods). The group of soldiers are of the Army Service Corps (later Royal Army Service Corps) although it is possible that one or more soldiers in the group are of the Royal Engineers. The vehicle that the men are seated on appears to contain a lathe and a stand drill. I presume that the vehicle may have been a mobile engineering lorry? Eight of the soldiers seen in the photo are unknown. Can you identify any of the unknown soldiers? Can you perhaps help with other information about the vehicle? Any information would be gratefully received.
