Photo P GADD 4 Please contact Paul Gadd at:-
FRANCISKickbo@aol.com Paul has recently discovered this great photograph of a group of British Soldiers which was taken in South Africa during the Boer War period. None of the soldiers have as yet been identified. It is very possible that the soldiers (mainly NCO's) were of the 1st Battalion, THE HIGHLAND LIGHT INFANTRY. It is possible that Paul's Grandfather THOMAS GADD can be seen in the photograph. (For information about Thomas Gadd's British Army service between 1894 and 1918, please see "Photo Page 90").

Photo P GADD 5 Please contact Paul Gadd at:-
FRANCISKickbo@aol.com Paul sent in this huge photograph of recovering WW1 casualties and nurses which was taken somewhere in France and probably in 1916. Paul's Grandfather Sergeant THOMAS GADD can be seen in the photo, standing in the 3rd row from the front (I have marked his chest with a white cross). None of the other 64 people seen have been identified.

PHOTO DEIVE 1 Please contact Derek Ive at :- derekive@tiscali.co.uk Derek believes that the young soldier in this portrait may have been a member of his family and hopes that if the soldiers uniform can be identified accurately, this might help in discovering the young mans identity. It appears that the young man may have served with a Hussars (Cavalry) Regiment? or perhaps a Yeomanry (Cavalry) Regiment?

Derek would appreciate any help or clues as to the young soldiers possible Regiment or indeed his identity.

PHOTO JJON 1 Please contact Jane Jones at:- jane.jones3@btinternet.com Jane kindly sent in this Great War era photograph of a group of LINCOLNSHIRE REGIMENT soldiers. Jane believes that the soldier seen 3rd from the right may be CLAUDE SIMPSON. She cannot identify any of the other soldiers nor does she have any details of the likely date or where the photo may have been taken.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
