Photo UNHILL 1
Please contact MARK UNDERHILL at :- markunderhill@shaw.ca This photograph is of Mark's Grandfather Captain F.T. UNDERHILL and was taken in 1887. At the time this photograph was taken Captain Underhill was approx. 30 years old. Mark wrote the following concerning the image, " I believe the uniform is of the South Staffordshire Regiment, but I know very little about the unit and would appreciate any further information. F.T. Underhill's father [my great-grandfather], William Lees Underhill, was apparently a surgeon in this unit but I have almost no information. W.L. Underhill lived in Tipton, Staffordshire, England almost all his life; F.T. Underhill lived and served as a doctor in Tipton until 1894, when he moved and took up a practise in Mission B.C., Canada.
