Please contact Roger Capewell at:- roger@militarybadges.org.uk This what the submitter wrote about this photograph " From my grandmother's handwriting on this old photo I can identify my first cousin, once removed, George Haylock. Also, another soldier, George Jessup. I must assume that George Jessup was a friend of the family. I would dearly like to know the names of the others in the picture and any identification as to the regiment. I think that George Jessup may have died in battle in Belgium in 1917 because I found that name on the War Memorial web site. They all may be "Northumberland Fusiliers", but I don't really know and it would be interesting to find out more. I have no idea where this photo was taken.Do you recognise any of these young soldiers or have you any information about them or their Regiment that will help please?

Please contact Roger Capewelll at > roger@militarybadges.org.ukThis what the submitter wrote about this photograph " This is a distant cousin named CHARLES HAYLOCK. He died in WWI. Can anyone tell me his regiment, rank, etc. from the uniform he is wearing? My Grandmother's writing on the back of the photo identified him and that he died in the war. The family was from Hartlepool, England"

Please contact Roger Capewell at roger@militarybadges.org.uk This what the submitter wrote about this hospital photograph, " Here is another from the photos my Grandmother had. She has the arrow pointing to her nephew, Charles Haylock. (On the back is written "a few of us on the way to recovery - all jam cases" and signed "C" It would be interesting to know just where this photo was taken and the Regiment and names of the other soldiers in the group. The "1914" written at the bottom of the photo pretty well dates the group picture. (What is meant by 'jam cases'? if anyone knows that term, please let your American cousin inTo view a larger version of this image please click here>
