This WW2 photograph was possibly taken in Continental Europe. The soldier seen to the left front, and wearing a striped top is GEORGE JAMES ALLEN . Do you recognise any of the soldiers on this photo ? Can anyone help with identifying this soldiers Regiment ? This photograph is from circa 1918 and shows three soldiers who were convalescing in Scotland. Seen to the left of the picture is David Hallam's Uncle, LEONARD HUDSTON (1898-1963), he was born at Beeston, Nottingham, England. Do you recognize any of these soldiers? Can anyone identify their Regiment/s ?

This photograph is of a young, 8th. Battalion the Leicestershire Regiment soldier who's name is WILLIAM NOEL SHELVEY. William was killed in the battle of Bazentin Ridge, on the 15th. of July 1916. William was just 18 years old. His Great Nephew, Keith Shelvey is hoping that someone may be able to help with the following , 1/ Does anyone recognise this young man ? 2/ Does anyone have any information or perhaps photographs of 8th. Batt. the Leicestershire Regiment for the WW1 period ?
